Need a Waterproof Dog Snood? Check out our Water Resistant Fabric for Dog Snoods

Hello Everyone!

If you are in need of a Waterproof Dog Snood you most definitely will be very happy with our beautiful water resistant fabric.  It repels water wonderfully!

We have updated our Water Resistant Dog Snood page with new photos to show how gorgeous this water resistant fabric truly is.  Plus, we have added a new color - a stunning Royal Purple.

It can be pretty darn frustrating to keep those ears dry - especially on show days. It was by special request from one of our customers, that Linden Line Designs added Water Resistant Snoods to our "Snood" line.

This fabric is absolutely beautiful. It has an iridescent appearance. It is made from Nylon and has a durable water-resistant (DWR) finish to repel water and/or rain.

Here is that new Royal Purple:

Plus, we also have Bronze available at this time, too - in addition to the original colors of Forest, Burgundy, and Ocean:

Dog Snood helps with Vasculitis - Happy Story!!

Dog Snoods can help with Vasulitis
You may not know what a snood is, but they happen to be one of LLD's most popular items! Snoods help protect long-eared dogs from chewing their ears when eating. Snoods can also keep ears safe from head-shaking. They are used for healing purposes to protect the affected area so that this area doesn't reopen so quickly after the initial healing.

Just today, over at my Facebook Page, we received the most wonderful news that LuLu making progress with an ear problem called vasculitis.  She recently had a visit with her veterinarian and they are very happy with the progress LuLu is making.  Her mom, Linda said that LuLu's ear are doing much better and she believes that the snood has made all the difference.  Lulu still has more recovering to do, however, she is off to a good start!  I am so happy to be of help with this.  And it means a lot to me that Linda kept me updated.

So, if you or anyone you know has a dog that suffers from vasculitis or other similar ear issues, please do let them know all about our snoods.

Look What Was Born in Our Yard Today:

This Precious Fawn!

Last night around 7:30 p.m., both my husband - Tony, and my daughter - McKenna noticed a Doe laying just outside from our kitchen window.  We always see deer in the yard and never get tired of watching them.

Then this morning around 6:00 a.m., I opened the blinds to the kitchen window and saw this beautiful precious fawn nestled next to her mama.

This is the very first time we have ever had a fawn born in our yard (that we know of).  There were several signs that revealed sure enough, this little fawn was born within a few hours from 6:00 a.m.

Needless to say, I haven't been able to get all my work done today!  The Doe and her Fawn have been here in the same area for almost 12 hours now!  As you can imagine, it has been a complete JOY watching the two of them all day.  Until ...

I was talking to my mother on the telephone telling her all about the birth when I noticed a raccoon peering down into the area where the fawn was sleeping.  I immediately hung up the phone and ran to the dining room window to get a better look.   By that split second of time, the raccoon was approximately two feet from the fawn!  And... the Doe had the raccoon pinned with all four hooves!  The Doe was balancing on her hind legs while literally pounding that raccoon like an electic mixer!!  All I remember seeing is a puff ball of raccoon struggling to get free from underneath the hooves.  Once the raccoon was able to free itself it ran like a 'bat out of hell' up the path and over the fence!!  WHEW!  The fawn was ok.  So much so, that she slept throughout this entire "Wild Kingdom" adventure!  By this time, my heart was beating like you wouldn't believe.  Now it has been a few hours since this event and I am happy to say that  mother and fawn are doing well and enjoying each other's company.
Isn't this little fawn just adorable!

Enjoy your day, Everyone.

I am certainly enjoying mine!  (minus the raccoon drama - of course!)

Until next time,

These two very adorable Pugs are Gracie (on the right) and Smoochie (on the left) from Elizabethtown, Kentucky.

They are both wearing our Step-in Style Harnesses and have matching leashes to complete their outfits, too.

It truly means a lot to me when I receive photos of all the precious pups out there wearing new items that I have hand made for them.  I just love it.

I hope you enjoy this photo as much as I do!

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Dog Snoods can help with an ear hematoma, ear vasculitis and more.

Lillie from Mokena, Illinois

This is Lillie.  Doesn't Lillie look very pretty wearing Purple!  I think so.  Lillie needs a dog snood to help aid in the healing process in regards to an ear hematoma which is common in dogs.  A dog snood can be very helpful to aid in the healing process because it helps the scabs from breaking open again due to too much shaking as the ears flop back and forth.  The dog snood gently holds the ears in place to prevent this from happening.  Lillie is wearing our Purple Bandana print.

Dog snoods can be wonderful to help protect the ears from too much shaking.

Dog snoods will not protect from vigorous scratching.

If you are in need of a Dog Snood that will help aid in the healing process for ear problems such as bloody ear tips, cracked ear tips, etc. then check out our website where we offer snoods in several convenient sizes.  And if you need a custom size, no problem - I will be more than happy to assist you.

Have a Great Day Everyone!
